Flourishing in Formation

A skilled psychologist competent to work with religious discerners will have an understanding of the level of maturity expected of an individual entering formation. A thorough evaluation will include an overview of the person’s social, emotional, and intellectual strengths and weaknesses. It will also give a sense of what supports can be offered to help discerners succeed as they move through the formation process. This requires a solid understanding of the qualities of an ideal candidate and the anticipated challenges discerners might face as they grow into their vocation.
